Gilberto Solano

has a degree in Audiovisual Arts, graduated from CAAV, he also has a degree in Philosophy from the Franciscan University of Mexico and has studies in Theology from the Antonian Institute in Rome. 20 years of experience as an audiovisual producer, working in video art, video installation, video clip, experimental video & documentary video.

He has recently collaborated in the documentary film project, «SOUNDS», where he worked for two years as general producer and assisting in the direction. The project is about to be released on the Netflix platform.

For the last 4 years and until now, he has been working on the historical fiction film, «Expectation», which arises in the framework of the celebration of the first centenary of the pontifical coronation of the thaumaturgical image of the «Virgen de Zapopan».

The story of the film takes place in Mexico, 1531, during the darkest moment of religious persecution. During the darkest moment of the religious persecution, a military man is sent to a Franciscan convent to look for the image of the «Virgen de Zapopan» in order to destroy this important symbol of faith.
